Digital transformation
Innovative business models, new market opportunities
Digital success thanks to a holistic approach
WMC HEALTHCARE knows how healthcare organizations can now seize their opportunities and tap into potential – for greater satisfaction of all involved. We provide support successively and complementarily or selectively and in a targeted manner. The result: sustainable added value in every case.
Increasing complexity and constant structural change characterize the processes in healthcare facilities. The multitude of different partially digital and analog process steps and clinical interfaces carries the risk of internal media disruptions. These ultimately lead to process errors and inefficiencies – both internally and externally. By adapting and optimizing manual and partially digital existing processes, we achieve high acceptance of digital transformation. Due to extensive best practice experience in the diverse process areas of clinical practice, our team at WMC HEALTHCARE is able to precisely overcome hurdles and barriers of digital transformation and fully implement the necessary change management – in the shortest possible time. Because we understand the acting stakeholders and interact with them on an equal footing, we generate added value at WMC HEALTHCARE – successfully and sustainably.
Current Challenges
Digital transformation represents a crucial key to success for many healthcare organizations. Both service providers and payers or solution providers are experiencing one of the biggest challenges with the rapidly advancing digitalization in the healthcare sector on the one hand. On the other hand, it offers one of the greatest opportunities. The decision lies with the individual organization itself: Is it facing – for example with the KHZG – just a new additional effort by fulfilling the mandatory criteria, or does it use the opportunity and achieve a new operational optimum with digitalization.
The WMC HEALTHCARE Toolkit for Digital Transformation
Using relevant project experience, we assist in developing and implementing a holistic digital strategy and align offerings to tap into new potential. As a market-leading company in management consulting in healthcare, we bring a deep understanding of leadership, processes, and challenges – both from hospitals and other service providers in the healthcare system. In the area of digital transformation, we combine this knowledge with expertise from the field of digital strategy, best practices from the implementation of software solutions, and the analysis of data relevant to processes and revenues. Our support follows a holistic approach, where the individual components of strategy, implementation support, and monitoring are used successively and complementarily or selectively and in a targeted manner. This ensures individualized and tailored consulting and support.
Our Solutions
We support service providers and payers in developing a digitalization strategy that closely aligns with the corporate strategy. Resulting from the strategic orientation, we derive measures – structured and prioritized. As part of the implementation, WMC HEALTHCARE accompanies from concept creation to execution. We use our in-depth understanding of market possibilities. We ensure long-term success through professional monitoring of the transformation.
Hospital Future Act (KHZG): Opportunity and Challenge
Within the framework of the Hospital Future Act, digitalization in German clinics can be elevated to a new level over the next few years. However, both in preparation and implementation of the funded measures, a fundamental transformation of hospital processes is necessary to utilize the multitude of new solutions in a way that actually creates added value. The procurement of solutions within the framework of KHZG funding is an essential part of the process and places a number of formal and content-related requirements on hospitals. WMC HEALTHCARE supports in the procurement and the path to the right solution for relevant funding elements – tailored to the individual needs of the clinic. We particularly address the design of service catalogs against the background of the respective current situation and the strategic orientation of the clinic. We do not view the planning and implementation of individual KHZG funding elements as isolated projects, but in consultation with the respective decision-makers of the hospital, integrate them into the appropriate digitalization and corporate strategy.
