Christoph Aberle is a health economist who completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of Bayreuth. Before joining WMC, he worked at a healthcare consulting firm and was employed by a private hospital group in the area of payer management. At WMC, Christoph Aberle works as an Expert Consultant in the field of hospital financing & budget law.
Dr. Frank Albrecht has been in consulting for more than seven years. He is a specialist in anesthesiology, emergency physician, and holds a degree in business administration. Before joining WMC, he worked as a project manager in a consultancy specialized in hospitals. At WMC, he oversees projects focusing on material cost controlling and active material cost management.
Elena Anneken is a licensed physician and completed her state examination at the University of Hamburg. Before joining WMC, she worked as a resident physician in neurosurgery at a renowned university hospital.
Jessica Arndt completed her Master’s degree in Strategy & Digital Business at ESCP Business School. She brings experience from the healthcare sector, both in outpatient and inpatient settings, having worked for one of Europe’s leading digital health providers and subsequently as a management trainee at a university hospital.
Philipp Bausch holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, with international experience gained through a semester abroad in Canada. Prior to joining WMC, he gained experience in start-ups, venture capital, and management and strategy consulting, including a focus on life science clients.
Theresa Bergmann completed her bachelor’s degree in Health Economics and obtained her Master of Science in Healthcare Sciences at the University of Cologne. During her studies, she supported various research projects and was responsible for analyzing administrative hospital data, among other tasks. Prior to joining WMC, she gained experience in market access at one of the leading medical technology companies.
Dr. Arne Berndt has over 15 years of experience as a manager and consultant in healthcare. Prior to joining WMC, he served as managing director of various hospitals within a private hospital group and as a consultant in an international strategy consultancy with a focus on payers. Previously, he was an officer in the German Armed Forces. Mr. Berndt studied business administration, psychology, and education, and holds a doctorate in change management. He is a certified business coach.
After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Management & Economics, Stefanie Bialas-Filter gained several years of experience in the healthcare sector with a focus on the digitalization of hospitals. In project management, she supported the implementation of software solutions in over 100 projects and assisted clinics in optimizing outpatient care processes.
Julia Bley works as an Executive Assistant for WMC in Hamburg. She completed a BA degree in the Netherlands and an MSc degree from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland. She has several years of professional experience in the tourism sector and worked for nine years in the Middle East.
Felicia Bloser completed her studies in Media and Communication Sciences at the University of Vienna. Subsequently, she worked for various international companies in the fashion industry and tourism sector in the fields of public relations and marketing. During this time, she was responsible for, among other things, the entire press relations of a corporate group. Most recently, she worked as a PR manager in a PR agency specializing in luxury tourism. At WMC, she oversees the areas of marketing and communication.
Katja Brandt has extensive professional experience in nursing across various hospital departments. After completing her training as a medical coding specialist, she was involved in primary coding in the areas of general surgery, spinal surgery, orthopedics/trauma surgery, and internal medicine. Most recently, she assumed the position of deputy head of medical controlling in a hospital.
Johannes Braun has more than 15 years of professional experience in healthcare and is an expert in the fields of elective services and private clinics. Prior to his time at WMC, he held senior positions at a management consultancy specializing in hospital management, a billing service provider, and a statutory health insurance company. He is a social insurance specialist, holds a degree in Business Administration (FH), and further specialized with a Master of Arts in Health Care Management.
Aino Breitinger holds a Master’s degree in Healthcare Management and has several years of consulting experience in the healthcare sector. Her previous work in a hospital also provides her with valuable operational expertise. Before joining WMC, she worked for an international management consultancy, focusing on hospital consulting. Most recently, she focused in particular on the transformation of emergency care in German hospitals and, as an operational project manager, supported the conceptual and practical implementation of modern space and operating concepts.
Jakob Bornhorst holds a Master’s degree in Health Economics from the University of Cologne. During his studies, he gained extensive experience in healthcare and health policy. Most recently, he worked for a major international auditing firm.
Thomas Brennauer is a certified human resources specialist with many years of experience in professional service firms in London, Munich, and Frankfurt. At WMC, he is responsible for the Recruiting Employer Branding department.
Saskia Cerny completed a Bachelor’s degree in Health Economics at the University of Cologne, followed by a double Master’s degree in Health Economics and Health Policy, Innovation and Management at the University of Cologne and Maastricht University. During her studies, she gained valuable experience through various internships and working student positions in both the healthcare sector and consulting.
Martina Cochardt is a health economist and holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management in Munich. She has several years of professional experience in the healthcare sector and, prior to joining WMC, held a senior position at a renowned university hospital.
While studying at the Faculty of Medicine in Cologne, Veysel Dalyan gained experience in various medical fields. He completed training as an emergency medical technician and worked as a laboratory technician in a hospital. For the past 13 years, he has overseen and been responsible for service billing in several medical practices, with a focus on outpatient medicine.
Dominik Deffke has been working in management and consulting roles in healthcare for over 12 years. Prior to his engagement with WMC, he was responsible as a manager and authorized signatory for projects in various consulting firms specializing in the healthcare sector; most recently in the healthcare division of an international auditing firm. Dominik Deffke holds a diploma in Oecotrophology and a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Hagen. He supports WMC mandates with a focus on non-medical cost optimization.
Christian Deist holds a degree in business administration and has more than 20 years of professional experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining WMC, he worked for many years as a financial director for the German subsidiary of a European provider of healthcare services in the inpatient and outpatient sectors.
Hanne Ecker holds a Master’s degree in International Health Policy from the London School of Economics. She previously completed her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen. Between her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, she gained practical experience in hospital restructuring at a leading management consultancy.
Christian Eckert has over 20 years of management and consulting experience in healthcare and, prior to his time at WMC, held senior positions at international auditing and consulting firms as well as private hospital operators. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Passau and specialized with an MBA in Healthcare.
Fatimah El Atrache completed her Master’s degree in Health Care with a focus on Management at Hochschule Niederrhein. Before joining WMC, she worked in the fields of process optimization, supply chain management, as well as planning, procurement, and implementation of IT solutions for consulting companies both within and outside the healthcare sector. At WMC, Fatimah El Atrache strengthens the team of the Procurement, Services & Logistics service line.
Maxine El Masry is a licensed physician who completed her state examination and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Regensburg. Before joining WMC, she gained clinical experience at various university hospitals and worked in diverse business contexts.
Neele Eßler holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Bremen, specializing in health economics, management, and care. She gained experience in occupancy management at a nursing home and in quality management and process analysis in a laboratory setting. She supplemented her academic training with practical projects on the digitalization of healthcare.
Before joining WMC, Florian Flasbeck worked in aviation and held a long-term position as a senior executive in laboratory logistics. He brings his experience in highly standardized processes to WMC’s Emergency service line.
Theresa Flören completed her Master’s degree in Health Care with a focus on Management at Hochschule Niederrhein. Prior to her time at WMC, she gained various practical experiences in hospital administration and in projects for optimizing hospital purchasing at a management consultancy specialized in healthcare.
Astrid Fröhlich completed her bachelor’s degree in Health Economics at the University of Cologne, followed by a double master’s degree in Health Economics and Management at the University of Cologne and Maastricht University. Through various working student positions and internships alongside her studies, she gained valuable experience in different areas of the healthcare sector as well as in consulting.
Michelle Fuchs is a healthcare and nursing professional who completed her studies in Advanced Nursing Practice in Hamburg. She has several years of professional experience in hospitals and outpatient care, with a focus on emergency departments and ambulatory care. Prior to joining WMC, she worked in the management of an outpatient care service and, as deputy head of the emergency department, she oversaw the transformation into a modern and highly efficient emergency unit.
Sandra Gareiß is a trained tax specialist and has gained many years of experience as a Senior Accountant in media companies and an international management consultancy in the areas of Finance Controlling, Project Management, and HR Accounting. Most recently, she was responsible for the Finance department of the dedicated private equity platform established under the management consultancy, including investor relations / reporting and regulatory reports related to the individual investment funds.
Christian Genge completed his certified accountant qualification at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Munich. He has more than twenty years of experience in financial accounting. Before joining WMC, he worked for ten years as the head of financial accounting in a medium-sized company.
Nadine Goldenbogen successfully completed her training as a medical documentation assistant and gained several years of experience in medical coding. She has acquired extensive expertise in the areas of cardiology, internal medicine intensive care unit, and IMC.
Nemanja Grujic is a trained office management specialist and, after successfully completing his apprenticeship, worked in the finance sector of various companies, most recently as a Financial Accountant in a service company.
Emily Görtz completed a Master’s degree in Health Economics at the University of Bayreuth. She gained practical experience during a study stay at the University of Rotterdam and as a working student at a consultancy specialized in the hospital sector. As part of her dual Bachelor’s degree in Health and Social Management, she also gained insights into the private clinic sector.
Ann-Katrin Hähn has been working in healthcare since 2008 and was most recently employed in a senior purchasing role at a maximum care hospital. She completed her Master of International Business at Macquarie University in Sydney and previously graduated with a degree in Business Administration specializing in Healthcare.
After completing her training as a European Secretary, Julia Härtl worked in Spain for a year, completed her business administration studies in England, and has more than eight years of professional experience in consulting. At WMC, she is responsible for marketing and communication.
Stefan Hartmann completed his Bachelor’s degree in Business Informatics at the University of Bamberg and his Master’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Passau. With several years of professional experience in consulting, he previously worked as a Strategic Advisor in a start-up specializing in prescription drugs and genetic tests. At WMC, Stefan Hartmann works in the Private Equity sector, particularly in the areas of Commercial Due Diligence and Value Creation.
Sophia Hassiotis completed her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences at the Technical University of Munich, including an Erasmus semester in Guadeloupe. She gained her first extensive work experience during her bachelor’s studies in patient administration at a university hospital in Munich. After completing her Master of Science in International Health Management at Imperial College London Business School, she worked for an international consulting firm specializing in cross-sector M&A/CDD in London and Paris.
Maria Helm has many years of professional experience in healthcare with a focus on surgical nursing as well as diagnostics in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound. After completing her training as a medical coding specialist, she worked at a university hospital in cardiac and thoracic vascular surgery. Most recently, she was employed at a clinic in the field of trauma surgery and orthopedics.
Markus Hellmann has extensive experience in cost reduction projects in healthcare and, prior to joining WMC Healthcare, worked as a Senior Manager in an international consulting firm focusing on supply chain management. At WMC, he leads the Procurement, Services & Logistics service line. He studied Business Administration (M.Sc.) at RWTH Aachen University.
Matthias Hemmes completed his Master’s degree in International Management at the International School of Management in Frankfurt and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Law. Prior to joining WMC, he worked at a renowned management and technology consulting firm, where he specialized in digitalization projects in healthcare and the development of digital strategies.
Stefan Hildebrandt completed his Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Management at Hochschule Niederrhein. Before joining WMC, he completed a trainee program in purchasing and logistics at Europe’s largest private hospital operator and subsequently gained experience in project development for construction projects in the healthcare sector.

She has worked in hospitals of various care levels, including in organizational development with a focus on change management/process adjustment. Additionally, she held a leadership position in emergency and patient care, including bed management. Before joining WMC, she worked for several years as a project manager in a consulting firm specializing in hospitals. She holds a degree in business administration with a specialized master’s in healthcare management and is a certified business coach.
Dr. Sören Jensen studied economics and completed his doctorate in Public Health as part of an EU research project at Hannover Medical School (MHH). He worked as a research associate and lecturer at the Institute for Health Systems Research at MHH and in corporate development for a private hospital group. Prior to joining WMC, he spent seven years as a project manager in a management consultancy focusing on healthcare.
Janni Jockenhöfer completed his Master’s degree in Business Psychology at the FOM University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf. Concurrently, he gained several years of professional experience as a product manager for an internationally operating company within the medical technology industry.
Maximilian Kaiser completed both his Bachelor’s and Master of Science degrees in Health Economics at the University of Bayreuth. During his master’s studies, he spent a semester abroad at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, where he broadened his international perspectives. His professional career began with training as a paramedic, which provided him with valuable practical experience in healthcare. Sylvia Keders brings professional experience from more than 14 years of work in various areas of medical controlling. She has in-depth knowledge of the DRG system, extensive medical expertise, as well as additional training as a Medical Coding and Documentation Assistant and Quality Management Representative in healthcare. At WMC, she works as an Expert Associate for the Revenue Management service line
Katrin Keller completed her Marketing Specialist degree at the Akademie Handel in Munich. She has several years of professional experience in various companies and industries.
Max Keller studied Applied Psychology at the University of Cologne. Additionally, he completed a second Master’s degree in Business Administration at WHU, including study periods in the USA, China, and India. Prior to his work at WMC, he gained cross-industry experience as a management consultant in the areas of strategy development, data excellence, and process optimization.
Kathrin Knelange has ten years of professional experience in nursing management. She is a trained nurse, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Management and a Master’s in Business Psychology, Leadership Management. Most recently, she served as Managing Director for the nursing division.
Tobias Kleiser completed his Master’s in Business Innovation at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). During his studies, he focused on digital transformation processes and innovative business models, particularly at the intersection of strategy and technology.
Ada Krings holds a master’s degree in clinical psychology and, in addition to initial professional experience in psychological counseling, has also gained insights into strategic projects in asset management.
Nathalie Landgraf holds a degree in Psychology and is a certified HR specialist. She completed her studies at UCO in Angers, France, and at TU Dresden. She has several years of professional experience in human resources and has worked for companies in Munich and London. At WMC, she heads the HR department.
Saber Lahmar brings over 19 years of professional experience in healthcare. In addition to his work in the inpatient sector, he has been active in various outpatient projects throughout Germany. While working, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management. Prior to joining WMC, he was responsible for outpatient financial controlling at one of Germany’s largest private hospital groups and worked in the management of a Düsseldorf-based pharmaceutical and medical technology company.
Judith Langer completed her Master’s degree in Health Economics and Healthcare Management at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Prior to joining WMC, she gained experience in the field of healthcare innovations and digitalization projects at a statutory health insurance company.
Sabine Lessing holds a degree in Business Administration and studied Healthcare Management. She has several years of experience in commercial management in hospitals and is an expert in German hospital financing. Most recently, she was responsible for payer management for all clinics in several federal states for a private healthcare provider. At WMC, Sabine Lessing heads the Hospital Financing & Budget Law department.
Isabel Lehnard is a certified healthcare and nursing professional. In addition to her many years of work experience, she has completed further training as a specialist in emergency care. Prior to joining WMC, she worked as a leading coordinator in a central emergency department.
Emil Lill completed his diploma degree in Industrial Engineering at TU Dresden. He then began his professional career in sales at a renowned international medical technology company, where he gained comprehensive insights into the structures and processes of various hospitals.
Laura Luzius studied for a Bachelor of Science in Health Economics at the University of Cologne and previously completed vocational training as a pediatric nurse at a renowned university hospital. She has several years of professional experience in healthcare and, before joining WMC, worked in a specialist medical practice in Cologne and in the hospital administration of a rehabilitation clinic in Bonn.
Leila Mehulić is a registered nurse with many years of experience in clinical care and as a research associate in international research projects. She holds academic degrees in Nursing Science (M.Sc.) and General Management (M.A.), and completed study visits in Bangladesh, Israel, and Ghana.
Daniela Merk is a state-certified specialist in organization and management with a focus on social services and has several years of professional experience in healthcare. In the field of medical controlling, she has worked for both a maximum care hospital and a standard care hospital. At WMC, she works as an Expert Associate for the Revenue Management service line.
Stefan Mitocaru is an economist who completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at LMU Munich and his Master of Science in Management at Nova School of Business and Economics in Lisbon. Before joining WMC, he gained experience at international management consulting firms with a focus on the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
Laura Mohr completed her studies in Social Economics with a focus on Personnel Management. Subsequently, she gained professional experience in human resources, particularly in the field of Talent Acquisition at a large, internationally operating company in Munich.
Sandra Müller holds a degree in business administration and brings extensive experience from various management positions in the healthcare sector. Most recently, she was responsible for a large clinic location and worked as managing director of a medical care center. In her previous positions, she has successfully supported strategic changes, optimized processes, and brought teams together across professional groups.
Silke Nehls-Hagemann has been working in healthcare for 30 years. She is a trained nurse and specialist in healthcare and social services management. She has many years of experience in medical controlling and organizational development in hospitals, and before her time at WMC, she worked as a lecturer in healthcare and social services.
Anna Nowak holds a Master’s degree in German Studies and is a qualified Pharmacy Technician and financial accountant. She has over 15 years of experience in the healthcare sector, primarily in pharmacies. For the past five years, she worked as a financial accountant at a university hospital in Munich.
Jonathan Palm completed his Master’s degree in Finance & Information Management at TU Munich. During his studies, he gained initial experience in the Private Equity sector. Before his Master’s studies, he worked as a commercial project manager.
Dr. Pascal Pampuch holds a doctorate in health economics and has several years of management experience with various hospital operators, where he assumed operational responsibility and shaped strategic development processes. His areas of expertise include the financial management of hospitals as well as the preparation and support of budget negotiations.
Laura Peake has many years of professional experience as a certified healthcare and nursing professional with additional training as a medical coding specialist. In her career, as an employee of the medical service of health insurance companies, she gained several years of experience in audit procedures, appeal processes, and coding in all medical specialties. Thus, Laura Peake brings considerable expertise in the approach and various process flows of the MDK (Medical Service of Health Insurance Companies). Ms. Peake works at WMC in the Revenue Management service line.
Alexander Reichmann worked in the hospital and rehabilitation sector for several years. In the course of his activities, he established himself as an expert in discharge and occupancy management. Before joining WMC, he held a management position, responsible for clinical process control in connection with hospital digitalization and occupancy management.
Jan Ridder completed a bachelor’s degree in Public Health and a double master’s degree in Health Economics and Management at the Universities of Cologne and Maastricht. Before joining WMC, he expanded his knowledge of healthcare and the German hospital market in the sales department of a globally leading medical technology company. There, he was primarily responsible for IT and KHZG projects.
Andreas Ripka holds a degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He has 15 years of professional experience in healthcare and, prior to joining WMC, worked as a corporate controller and as a team leader in controlling for the German subsidiary of a European provider of inpatient and outpatient healthcare services.
Tim Saile is a health economist and completed his Master’s in Health Economics & Health Care Management at the University of Hamburg with a study period at the University of Bologna. He has professional experience in healthcare, including at a leading German health insurance company, as well as in consulting in the areas of digitalization and strategic management.
Ann-Kathrin Schaffrath’s journey, after completing her Bachelor’s & Master’s degrees in Economics, first led her to a major auditing and consulting firm. There, the certified healthcare and nursing professional has supported IT transformations for various public sector clients in recent years.
Jessica Scheuermann has several years of experience in the medical sector, including in nursing as well as in administration, controlling, and accounting. In addition to her specialist qualification in health and social services, she completed further training as a coding specialist and most recently headed the medical controlling department in a rehabilitation clinic.
Gabriel Schima studied human medicine at RWTH Aachen University and is currently pursuing his doctorate in vascular surgery. Concurrently, he completed a degree in healthcare management. He gained clinical experience during his practical year, including in Germany and Switzerland. Furthermore, he worked in the healthcare consulting sector.
Alicia Singler holds a Master’s degree in Digital Healthcare Management from Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences. She has several years of professional experience in physiotherapy and digital transformation projects in the healthcare sector. Most recently, she held responsibility as a Junior Inhouse Consultant at a leading billing and software service provider.
Jens Schneider has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare, including around ten years in leadership roles at university hospitals as well as twelve years in management positions in the medical technology industry and in consulting. Most recently, he served as Managing Director of a telemedicine GmbH. His focus areas lie at the intersection of hospital management, digitalization, innovative care models, and artificial intelligence. In addition, he is a co-founder and board member of the German Society for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (DGKIMED).
Dr. Moritz Schuster completed his doctorate at the University of Ulm. He has several years of professional experience in outpatient healthcare. Most recently, he worked for a payer and was responsible for their selective contract care in Baden-Württemberg. Prior to this, he was active in the management of an institute for continuing education and healthcare research.
Anke Smatloch completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in health economics at the University of Bayreuth. During a semester abroad at Erasmus University Rotterdam, she deepened her knowledge of market mechanisms and strategic decision-making processes in healthcare. She gained practical experience in life science consulting and in a consulting firm specializing in the hospital sector, where she also worked as a working student after an internship.
Philipp Stamm has been supporting private equity firms as well as global and medium-sized companies for more than ten years as a strategy consultant, manager, and auditor. Prior to his time at WMC, he worked for several years in international consultancies in the areas of performance improvement and deal advisory. Previously, he completed his Master’s degree in Mergers & Acquisitions at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
Markus Stobbe has been working in healthcare for more than 25 years. In addition to his extensive experience in the inpatient sector, he has also held various management positions in the outpatient sector. Before his time at WMC, he worked, among other roles, in management consulting and as a managing director for one of the largest private hospital operators in Germany. The focus of his work has always been on both the development of complex outpatient (MVZ) structures and the conceptual creation and further development of health centers.
Following the completion of her clinical coding training, Mandy Stolzenburg has gathered several years of coding experience in the hospital sector. She has developed extensive knowledge in areas including trauma surgery and orthopedics. At WMC, she works as a coding specialist in the Revenue Management service line.
Kim Tantarn brings over 10 years of professional experience in healthcare, is a trained health and nursing professional, and has gathered several years of experience in daily inpatient care as a Physician Assistant as well as in medical controlling. She has built her expertise in the areas of spinal surgery, orthopedics, and MDK management.
Tibor Tinschmann is a specialist in trauma surgery and has many years of experience in the healthcare sector, both in management and consulting. Before his time at WMC, he worked in a consulting firm specializing in hospitals. His current focus is on strategy consulting and digital transformation.
Nadin Thomas has several years of experience in operational and strategic medical controlling in healthcare, as well as in the conception and implementation of work processes. She holds a degree as a specialist in social and healthcare management and supports the Revenue Management service line at WMC as an Expert Manager.
Jonathan Unger is a health economist and completed his Master’s degree in Health Economics and Health Care Management at the University of Hamburg, including a study period in Norway (University of Oslo). Prior to his time at WMC, he already gained diverse experience in management consultancies focusing on the healthcare industry.
Michael Unteregger is a qualified health and nursing professional with a Master’s degree in Nursing and Health Management. He brings extensive experience in inpatient healthcare and most recently held a management position at a university hospital for several years.
Kerstin Utz brings over 13 years of experience in healthcare, including 4 years in medical controlling. As a trained office administrator, Ms. Utz expanded her knowledge through further education as a coding specialist. She has specifically coded in the fields of spine surgery, internal medicine, and orthopedics. Additionally, she brings several years of experience in MDK (Medical Service of Health Insurance) management.
Nancy Verheyen has many years of professional experience in a maximum care hospital as a specialist nurse for anesthesia and intensive care medicine. After completing her degree in health and social care management, she worked for ten years in medical controlling. Here, she focused on the areas of coding, MDK management, audits, as well as coaching and negotiations with health insurance companies.
Richard Volwahsen completed his Master’s degree in Development Economics with a focus on Health Economics in a double degree program at the University of Göttingen and the University of Florence. Before joining WMC, he gained professional experience in controlling, capacity management, and innovation consulting, and most recently worked for an international consulting firm in the banking sector.
Franziska de Vries holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and a Master’s degree in Digital Health Management. She is a trained nurse with several years of clinical experience. Most recently, she worked as a working student at a large statutory health insurance company in the field of Digital Health and digital care services.
Jannik Wagner completed his Double Degree Master’s in Public Health and Governance and Leadership at the University of Bremen and Maastricht University. Additionally, he holds a completed vocational training as a healthcare and nursing professional. During his studies, he also worked in a consulting firm for medical technology and pharmaceutical companies.
Konstantin Wagner-Blum is a licensed physician who completed his medical studies at LMU and TU Munich. During his studies, he gained practical experience at a major German university hospital. He is currently pursuing his doctorate in medical ethics.
Sarah Wagner is a health economist with a bachelor’s degree and a Master of Business Administration, which she obtained while working. The guiding questions of her scientific theses address current topics in the digital transformation of healthcare. Prior to her time at WMC, she gained several years of operational experience in the management of a private maximum care hospital in Hamburg. Her training as a certified health and nursing professional after her high school graduation, followed by work in intensive care, rounds out her profile.
Ms. Wagner completed her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the University of Applied Sciences in Lübeck. She has several years of professional experience in healthcare and, before joining WMC, worked in strategic procurement at one of the largest university hospitals in Germany.
Prof. Dr. Christian Wallwiener has more than 15 years of professional experience in healthcare as a physician, strategy consultant, and manager. Prior to founding WMC, Christian Wallwiener worked at an international management consulting firm. He is a physician with clinical training at TU Munich, Harvard University, and Oxford University, and obtained his habilitation in Experimental Gynecology.
Sebastian Weidenbach is a licensed physician who completed his medical studies at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. During his studies, he gained experience in various areas of outpatient and inpatient medicine, as well as in basic research at a pharmacological and toxicological institute.
Dr. Katrin Wegener has over 15 years of professional experience in medical controlling, including roles in hospital groups and a university hospital. Alongside her career, she completed additional studies in health economics at the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel.
Katharina Weingärtner has several years of experience in healthcare, particularly through her work as a certified healthcare and nursing professional in the fields of intensive care and clinical research. She holds a degree in healthcare management and completed her MBA at WHU in Düsseldorf. Prior to joining WMC, she worked for an international management consulting firm and a German university hospital, among other positions.
Jacqueline Weishaupt works as an executive assistant for WMC in Munich. She is a trained industrial clerk and has many years of professional experience. Most recently, she worked as a personal assistant in an international management consultancy.
Chiara Westmeyer is an economist who completed her Master’s degree in Management at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. Prior to that, she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration and completed training as a paramedic. Before joining WMC, she gained experience in various management consultancies, most recently with a focus on the healthcare sector.
Dr. Reinhard Wichels has over 20 years of professional experience in healthcare and was a partner at an international consulting firm before founding WMC. He is a physician and has worked in various hospitals, including as a scientific research assistant in cardiology at the University Hospital Großhadern.
As a business economist and certified physiotherapist, Anne Wiesmann has 18 years of experience in various roles within the healthcare sector. Prior to her time at WMC, she led M&A and process-oriented restructuring projects both on the service provider side and for a consulting firm specializing in healthcare. Most recently, she has also focused on the digital transformation of German hospitals and was responsible as the operational project manager for measuring the digital maturity of all German hospitals.
Laura Wohlfarth completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in health economics at the University of Bayreuth. During her studies, she gained experience as an intern at a consulting firm specializing in the hospital sector. Before joining WMC, she worked for a leading service provider for strategic purchasing and logistics solutions in the healthcare sector in Germany and Switzerland.
Dr. Charlotte Zahner is a licensed physician and received her doctorate from the Department of Hematology and Oncology at the University Hospital Düsseldorf. Before joining our team as a permanent staff member, she completed an internship at WMC.
Kai Goliath holds a master’s degree in Health Economics from the University of Bayreuth. He has relevant international professional experience in procurement and logistics in the hospital sector, which he gained at a private healthcare provider.
Ursula Oberdieck is a certified nurse and specialist in health and social services (Chamber of Industry and Commerce). She has over 25 years of professional experience in healthcare – including more than ten years in specialist and leadership positions as well as in complex digitalization, change, and multi-project management processes.
Enes Osta completed his Master’s degree in Medical Management at the University of Duisburg-Essen. His professional experience includes roles in medical controlling as well as consulting for hospitals and other healthcare stakeholders. Before joining WMC, he worked at an international consulting and auditing firm, supporting projects focused on process optimization, project management, and care structures.
Dr. Jens Bongard has more than six years of consulting experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. He completed a degree in Medical Biology and earned a doctorate in the field of molecular drug development before advising clients from the German healthcare market and international pharmaceutical sector at an international management consultancy. Jens specialized early on in (external) innovation in the pharmaceutical field, allowing him to stay close to the development of new therapeutic approaches while also closely accompanying international deals in this sector.
Amelie Fink completed her Master’s degree in Business Administration at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. Prior to her work at WMC Healthcare, she gained several years of experience in the field of healthcare digitalization at a healthtech company.
