Covid-19 has further accelerated this development. Many patients appreciate the increased privacy, distance, and hygiene, and feel more comfortable in a hospital room with a hotel-like character. In addition to pure private insurance, there is also an increase in private supplementary hospital insurance. What sounds lucrative poses enormous challenges for many hospitals. This is due to sometimes severe staff shortages and spatial deficits. There is a lack of rooms, beds, and personnel. And not every single-bed room truly promises a hotel feeling. The backlog that exists here is further supported by a lack of investment promotion from the states. Good ideas and concepts are needed to create hospitals with added value and a comfortable atmosphere. Because: The increasing demand for optional accommodation services provides hospitals with enormous additional revenue. This revenue, in turn, is predestined to be used as refinancing means &#8211; for investments in the long-overdue renovation of wards, refurbishments, or increasing staff. As a result of this refinancing, a further increase in demand for optional services can be expected, as hospitals are made significantly more attractive and the added value becomes more visible. WMC HEALTHCARE is also the first point of contact when it comes to coordinating and improving medical optional services. Currently, there is widespread uncertainty about which services can generally be billed according to the fee schedule for doctors (Go\u00c4) &#8211; with fatal omissions and quality losses in documentation as a result. In addition, staff shortages and continuously increasing documentation requirements are opposed by too little working time of medical and healthcare personnel.
